- Swim with Sharks
You do know that Australia is WELL-KNOWN for its abundance of beautiful Great Whites. While we don’t encourage fear of sharks as they are actually highly misunderstood creatures, you most certainly want to show them their due respect.
You may also want to swim with them if adventure calls you. To be sure that you stay safe and don’t put the sharks in danger, there are many different tours for you to be able to experience something that you will never forget.
There are cage diving tours that allow you to get up close to these giant creatures without you having to be worried about a little nip from a confused shark and there are other tours where you can actually dive or swim with less imposing sharks. Either way, these shark meeting experiences will be sure to get your heart pumping like never before.
- Go Skydiving with Beautiful Views
There are plenty of places for skydiving in Australia. It’s practically second nature for Aussies to skydive, so it makes sense that you can find a skydive in nearly any town or city that you visit. Okay, while that may be an exaggeration, there are so many different skydiving tours that we can’t exactly tell you just one to go to.
But, if you are in the mood for heights like you have never known before, you will want to visit the Skydive the Beach Sydney where you will jump from over 14,000 feet above the coastline. Jump the Beach Brisbane is another place where 14,000 feet feels like nothing to your instructor.
There is no way that this activity could be deemed as anything but adrenaline-pumping. It’s exhilarating and not for the faint-hearted. 14,000 feet is a challenge that many aren’t willing to take, are you?
- Visit the Bush and Crocodiles
The Australian outback is truly as exciting as Crocodile Dundee made it out to be, if not more so. With that being said, you may want to take a tour to see crocodiles. Don’t worry, we aren’t talking about a zoo-like experience.
You want to see them in the wild and that is understandable. To be sure that you get the experience that you are looking for while still remaining relatively safe as you travel through Australia in your camper van hire, make sure that you find one that is well-known for its crocs (some parks are a bit low on crocodiles, unfortunately).
If that isn’t enough for you, as you explore the country, you will most likely get to glimpse these creatures in the wild. Just always be safe, take precautions, and of course, never, ever touch or provoke them.

- Go Whitewater Rafting
If you would rather keep your feet on the “ground” and not in the sky, why not keep your feet somewhere in the water with whitewater rafting. There are several different tours for the adventurous. From the Tully and Barron Rivers to Hanmer Springs and Kawarau River, Australia is full of hyperactive rivers just waiting for you to explore them and to ensure that you have an adrenaline-pumping time while you’re at it.
- Go Bungy Jumping
While Australia’s neighbor New Zealand boasts of having the best bungy jumping locations in the world, Australia doesn’t do bad for itself. If what you are looking for is daredevil experiences, make sure to include bungy jumping on your list of things-to-do in Australia.
From jumping at Kingston Park Raceway’s Bungy Jumping in Queensland to visiting Cairns iconic bungy jumping spot, Australia has plenty of bungy jumping adventure just waiting for the adventurers who will stop at nothing for their next thrill.
The above activities are just some of the exciting experiences to be hand in Australia. While you will want to do in-depth research on each adventure before setting out to do it, you can trust that where these tours and activities are, adventure is just around the corner.
